What if my property is not worth the PVA’s assessed value?
Property owners that believe their property’s assessed value is incorrect can appeal their tax assessment with the Jefferson County Property Valuation Administrator (PVA) during the annual Open Inspection Period (OIP). Each year the OIP begins the first Monday in May and continues for a thirteen-day period, including two Saturdays.

Contact the PVA for more information on the appeals process. Jefferson County Property Valuation Administrator
