Yes. Two exemptions are available for qualifying property owner(s).
The Homestead Exemption is available to property owners that are 65 years old, or older.
The Disability Exemption is available to property owners that have been classified as totally disabled by any public or private retirement system.
In 2020 property owners eligible for either exemption will have $39,300 subtracted from their property’s total assessment. This decrease in assessed value will discount your tax bill by $55.06. (ie, ($39,300 assessment / 100) x $0.1401 tax rate = $55.06 tax discount)
