Special Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Does not hold an elected office, appointed office, or position with the city
- No more than three members shall be of the same political party
- No convictions of a felony or any crime involving moral turpitude
- Oath of office
- Residence of Jeffersontown at least one year prior to date of appointment
Purpose
The Ethics Commission will receive and investigate complaints, hold hearings, and make findings of fact and determinations with regard to alleged violations of the City of Jeffersontown’s Code of Ethics. The commission will also render advisory opinions to the city and city agency officers and employees regarding whether a given set of facts and circumstances would constitute a violation of the city’s Code of Ethics.
