Previous Experience

Mark Timperman started his career with the former Jefferson County Police Department in 2001 and was selected to Police Recruit Class Session 4. He was assigned to Adam District in the eastern part of Jefferson County. After merger he was promoted to Detective and assigned to the 8th Division Flex Platoon.

About 

Major Timperman joined the Jeffersontown Police Department in September 2008. He was assigned to 2nd Platoon. He was promoted to Detective in 2011 and assigned to the Special Investigations Unit. In 2013 he was selected to the Criminal Investigations Unit were he was the lead investigator in several high profile criminal cases. In 2017 he was promoted to Sergeant and served as the Criminal Investigations Sergeant. He was promoted to Major in 2018 and is the police departments Patrol Commander.
Major Timperman graduated from Trinity High School and attended the University of Louisville. He has an Associate’s Degree from the Jefferson Community College and has received both Intermediate and Advanced certifications from the DOCJT Career Development Program.
