Overview
The Community Resource Officer,
Steve Fisher, works in a cooperative effort with the citizens and businesses of Jeffersontown, through a variety of crime prevention initiatives, to enhance and strengthen existing relationships and provide for a safer community.
By encouraging and facilitating the exchange of information and addressing concerns for our citizens and businesses, we continue to build upon the excellent partnerships already in place between our department and the community. Furthermore, these efforts directly and positively impact the development of new relationships from which we continue to advance our collective efforts and improve the quality of life in our community.
The Community Resource Officer, in addition to providing oversight of our crime prevention measures, also has the responsibilities of but which are not limited to: Drug, Alcohol, Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) instruction in several of our schools, coordination of the department’s Explorer Program, and oversight of police officer recruitment efforts for our agency.
